A Future Professional attends London Fashion Week

I was looking for schools for 3 months, was working at Macy’s as a counter manager for cosmetics. And since I was doing hair at home, I figured I should just go to school for it. I could not find a school that had weekends off, so I quit my job, and than found Paul Mitchell and found that I could have Saturdays off and be able to keep my job as well.

Remembering 9/11

Every year since the tragic attacks on September 11, 2001, Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools across America have held some type of event in remembrance of the precious lives lost that day. Some schools have hosted fundraising events for local police, firefighters, their widows and orphans funds, and even for rescue dogs. Other schools have held special in-school tributes or memorials that day. At our school we have decided to give away free services for the month.

#tinablackday

Yesterday marked the first ever #tinablcakday our Owner Tina Black was recently diagnosed with a precancerous condition in her uterus called complex hyperplasia only detected by a biopsy and not by a routine papsmear. Uteran and ovary cancer is the most aggressive of all cancers because they are difficult to detect. But www.brightpink.org is raising awareness for such cancers. Tina said that she is blessed to have found it so early. Bright Pink is more than just a color. It is a movement, a community, a way of life. It is the belief that being proactive is better than being reactive, that prevention is better than treatment. Educate yourself, take action, and join us in Being Bright Pink.
